Boise, and the surrounding areas, offer a variety of schools from pre-K to high school and beyond! We are often asked about the best schools in Boise. It is an interesting topic, because every high school in the area shines in one way or another, whether it be academically or athletically. “Open Enrollment” is an app-laudable component of our school districts. This means you are able to apply to any public school within your district, thus students are not limited to attending the school closest to their residence.
Aside from public schools, Idaho offers an abundance of charter, magnet, private and Montessori schools. Residents of the Treasure Valley are not lacking in educational options.

3. North Star Charter School – Eagle, ID
4. Timberline High School – Boise, ID
5. Borah High School – Boise, ID
6. Capital High School – Boise, ID
These rankings are based on Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and Cambridge tests given at a school each year, divided by the number of seniors who graduated in May or June.
The college-going rate of students graduating high school rose above 61% in 2015. Math, Science, Technology and Engineering are the chosen majors more than any other major.
